CONTEST OF THE BEST SPANISH WINE FOR ASIA
For the second year, an international competition focuses on the Chinese criteria.
The II Spanish Wines for Asia contest, held in Hong Kong between the 16th and the 18th October, got together in this city a tasting group made at 60% by the Asian Association of Sommeliers of Hong Kong and China, at 35% by wine consumers and at 5% by local journalists to increase the popularity and imports of our wines in Asia.
After a completely blind tasting, the scoring system, based on tasting notes and precise criteria to conform to local market taste, awarded wines with gold, silver and bronze medals.
Among the 378 wines that were tasted, the 4 ones presented by BODEGAS ALTO ALMANZORA obtained the following medals:
ESTE TINTO 2005: BRONZE MEDAL
ESTE TINTO 2006: SILVER MEDAL
ESTE TINTO 2008: SILVER MEDAL
VALMEDIANO 2007: BRONZE MEDAL
