Our map of wines has now a new reference point.
From generation to generation, the inhabitants of Valle del Almanzora (Almanzora Valley) have inherited the wine culture for centuries. We were witness to the wines that our grandfathers used to elaborate, who in turn learned from their predecessors. We accompanied our parents in the enjoyment of treading the grapes in the presses and we are sure of the legacy that we will leave our children, who are becoming more involved daily in this marvellous and endearing world...

SPAIN'S 100 BEST WINES IN THE NETHERLANDS
Wines from and Perswijn magazine, have created the Spain's 100 Best Wines in the Netherland's Awards, with the aim of selecting those Spanish wines that are best adapted to this market. For this reason, the competition is targeted principally at wines already present in the Netherland's, as the precise objective of the competition is to consolidate their presence.
The jury that selected the Spain's 100 Best Wines in the Netherland's, comprised twelve experts and was presided by Ronald de Groot, a renowned and respected wine expert. who is the editor-in-chief of Perswijn.
After a blind wine testing of almost 900 wines, 18 categories were created and Spain's best 100 wines were announced.
ESTE tinto 2005 from Bodegas Alto Almanzora, was awarded, with a honourable mention for the best relation quality /price wine.

Guide to Wines of Spain in 2008/2009 in French and Dutch
The Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Brussels, Belgium has just published a book: Guide to Wines of Spain in 2008/2009 in French and Dutch. This guide is about a hundred Spanish wines by reviewed by Belgian professional experts. Among the wines selected is our "ESTE Bodegas Alto Almanzora". In the chapter devoted to wines that must be kept in mind to drink on a daily basis, our ESTE Red 2004 is indicated as one of the favourites. In another chapter entitled: "chic et pas cher" (Elegant and cheap), highlights our ESTE red 2005 and ESTE White 2006. All the team at Bodegas Alto Almanzora SL., is well rewarded in the meticulous dedication exercised every day in developing spectacular wines for the enjoyment of humans. Our thanks also to the Belgian people that since the beginning of our journey are consumers of our brand ESTE Bodegas Alto Almanzora.
